2019 Goals: Personally & Professionally
Okay, so I’m over a month behind but that’s the way it goes around here. Better late than never.
My friends and family know that I’ve made a lot of changes in the past three years and I’m finally settling down. My life’s been quiet the upheaval lately. That being said, after moving to Ohio last August, I now have the chance to restart, regain my strength, and make life a little more less-dramatic. This has been a journey. A bumpy one. I’m happy to say, I’m back on track and this blog will help explain some of the unusual things I’ve dealt with as I strive for a happy balance. You’ll see how it’s the little things that make life special. Everything from recipes, what I do puttering around my home, research trips, my love life, and much more.
If you don’t know me, I’m the author of 12 books and counting. I live alone in my little house with my cat Henry, in North Canton, Ohio.
Here are a few goals I’ve set for myself. Feel free to join me and chime in, in the comment section, as we go along.
Lose the ten pounds I’ve gained since moving to Ohio, ha!
No spend February…more on that soon. (Broken arms don’t pay for themselves.)
Gardening - Re-landscape and start a raised bed garden in the backyard.
Train for the Spartan race, again. (More on that later.)
Read 12 books. (okay…that’s easy for me but I have to include something achievable.)
Spend less. (I’ll post a few ideas.)
Finish furnishing and decorating my home.
Explore and visit places I’ve never been to on this side of the country..
Post a love story in parts on this blog.
Start a blog. (Okay, that was easy.)
Visit the Winking Lizard each month with Tony for the Beer of the Month Club.
Publish, at least, 4 books this year! - Unbeaten, Graham’s Resolution 6, Remember the Ruin 1 & 2
Publish a short story connected to the Surrender the Sun series
Spend advertising dollars smarter.
Spend less screen time.
Read more books on writing.
Seems achievable right? I’ll let you know as we go along. Remember, odd things just seem to happen to me, both good and bad. I’m a writer and broke my arm already this year…yep, that’s why this blog is a little late. More on that later.
